- What Matters to RKT? Greenfield vs. Brownfield Investment -
본 연구는 조직학습이론을 기반으로 역지식 이전에 영향을 미치는 요인을 그린필드와 브라운필드 투자로 나눠서 차이점이 있는지를 조사하고 있다. 설문을 통해서 자료를 수집하였고, 가설 검증을 위해 선형회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과 본사의 학습하려는 의 지와 본사와 해외자회사간의 유사한 조직문화는 성공적인 역지식 이전에 있어서 중요한 요소로 나타났다. 본사와 해외 자회사간의 신 뢰는 브라운필드 투자에 있어서 역지식 이전에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이지만, 그린필드 투자에 있어서는 반대의 결과를 보여 주었 다. 본 연구의 실증 결과는 다국적기업이 그린필드 투자를 통해 진출하고자 하는 다국적 기업에게 성공적인 역지식 이전을 위해 고려 해야 하는 요인들에 대해 실용적 시사점을 제공해 줄 것으로 기대한다.
역 지식 이전 : 그린필드와 브라운필드 투자 비교
This study attempts to identify the key components affecting Reverse Knowledge Transfer (RKT) in terms of the comparison of the main factors between greenfield and brownfield subsidiaries based on organizational learning (OL) theory. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey and ordinary least squares (OLS) regression analysis was used as a statistical technique. The analysis results indicated that intent to learn and a similar organizational culture are critical elements for a successful RKT. Although trust is also a key factor affecting RKT from brownfield subsidiaries, a negative relationship exists between trust and RKT from greenfield subsidiaries. The results provide useful implications for multinational company (MNC) managers in considering the different elements necessary to enhance RKT from greenfield subsidiaries.
